Deploy Company Portal on all company Windows devices with Microsoft Intune

Introduction
One of the first things you should do once you sort out device onboarding/enrollment to Intune, would be to centrally manage and deploy Company Portal.
The Key Benefits of Company Portal:
- If you are not familiar with this app, it's like an internal "corporate store" app, from where users can install/uninstall apps you make available through Intune based on their needs.
- Users can also check the compliance status of their devices and force a re-check in that regard, and they can also upload logs (MDM logs) to Intune. So, in the event some remote user encounters some issue that might be related to Intune, you can ask them to provide the logs through the app.
- Users can also choose to wipe their own devices in case of a stolen/lost phone for example
- As an admin you can publish in the Company Portal the contact information for your IT Dept, which can be helpful for users to be able to reach you. etc.
Configuration
Ok, so we assume you already enrolled your devices with intune, as the following deployment requires the devices to already be present in Intune.
- Step over to Intune.microsoft.com
- Go to Apps -> All Apps -> Add
- Search the Microsoft Store App (new)
- Search for the Company Portal App and select it:
- Be sure to assign it as required to your desired group in the next screen. In a production environment I would test it out on a Pilot Group first, then expand to everyone.
After some sync time, the app will be deployed on the endpoints, and users will be able to use it:
Conclusion
Company Portal is an indispensable app to have deployed via Intune to your users as it can act like your internal Corporate Store. In the above steps you have seen the most recent way to deploy it using Intune.
